Thanks Slavko! That worked perfectly. Orage is also imcompatible with the current xfce4-panel, and will block an upgrade without this fix. xfce4-panel is now built on gtk3 rather than gtk2, and so the panel plugin cannot even be built. Orage is also abandoned upstream - the repository has been removed. Best wishes, Julian
