Package: thunar
Version: 1.6.10-6
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

when using the icon view in thunar and displaying a directory where many file
updates happen with high frequency, the displayed icons and actual referenced
file objects will start getting mixed up.

Steps to reproduce:

1. set thunar to icon mode, open a directory where to build a LaTeX document
2. put a LaTeX document in that directory, e.g. use
https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/LaTeX/simple.tex
3. build the LaTeX document via 'pdflatex simple.tex' while having the
directory displayed in thunar

Expected outcome:

Double clicking on any of the files within the directory should open up the
corresponding file.

Actual outcome:

Double clicking on any of the files will open up _one of the other files_ in
that directory. The references to the file objects and the displayed icons seem
to get randomly mixed up.
The status bar will still show the correct file that opens up on double click
but the displayed icon and its label are wrong.

Additional information:

During the LaTeX build process, the icon display within the directory is
refreshed very fast (icons changing position due to modification date sort
order). On another system (still running Jessie but Xfce 4.12) the same process
will redraw the icon view much less frequent and doesn't produce the issue.
Both systems use SSDs. It can be assumed that the high frequency of the icon
view refreshes/redraws causes the objects and references to get mixed up.

Since I didn't got an answer in quite a while, I'll assume it doesn't happen
anymore and I'm closing the bug, but feel free to reopen if it still happens.
