[debutant] Hard drive UDMA 66

I have a new mother board with UltraDMa66 I/O port and a new hard drive on this port.
(I have 2 IDE + 2 UDAM66 drive port).
The only other device is my cd-rom on Fisrt IDE (Master).

When I try to install Mandrake 6.0, the setup program don't find my the hard-drive. 
I can't enter in DiskDruid or fdisk.

What's the solution ? 
- a virtual scsi adaptater - like // IoMega
- a newer version of Mandrake ?

Can youy help me ?
