Pour cet usage la version « stripped » suffit. (Moins volumineuse.) 2- kernel-source-stripped-2.6.17.5mdv-1-1mdv2007.0.i586 Mais en installant la version complète on est sûr de faire face à tous les besoins. 9- kernel-source-2.6.17.5mdv-1-1mdv2007.0.i586 Les deux correspondent parfaitement à notre noyau actuel 2.6.17.5. Quand j'ai le choix entre plusieurs paquets, je lance en parallèle une session de old_rpmdrake qui me renseigne sur les diverses propositions et je choisis généralement le paquet le moins volumineux.
