Am I hearing correctly that, beginning with 2.0, licensing is tied to the MAC address?
Correct.
If so, what about those of us who load balance the traffic to the server across multiple NICs? This is a must to avoid downtime due to failure of a NIC (it's saved our bacon a couple of times).
Also, if a NIC is replaced, or we migrate to a different server, what is the process the get a new license key...and is that available 24/7/365?
We absolutely need to be able to handle these situations immediately without waiting until the next business day to get a new license key.
The built-in failsafes are designed to ensure that you won't need to wait until the next business day to get a new license key.
