I switched from f-prot to McAffee and feel I am getting better results.

My problem with f-prot was with email attachments like anna but not just
anna. I asked f-prot about it and they replied that "it only worked with
Outlook". I think what they meant that if I had been running their windows
product it might have caught it if I tried to open the anna file.

InnoculateIt is like that as well although they didn't get their dat files
updated until the end of the day when we first started seeing anna.

Unless there is something I'm missing I can't make either f-prot or
InoculateIt catch anna in any format I've tried.

My son received the first anna virus and his Norton anti-virus did not catch
it at all until much later in the day.

McAffee command line on the other hand found it from the beginning but
declude didn't act properly until Scott fixed it. My understanding is that
McAffee desktop didn't work though.

Interestingly they all said they knew about it and were able to detect it
long ago which, if true, makes the product performances I saw even worse.
All in all it was a pretty poor showing for the virus software.

But right now with Declude and McAffee I know we've stopped an awful lot of
viruses both coming in and going out.
