1) Yes. Root has a user folder and in some cases it has emails in it. In any
case with ver 7.07 Imail will create the main.mbx if it doesn't exist when
you log into web messaging. I have tried erasing the password and using a
new one just in case but never erasing the entire user - checked all the
relevant SQL data - AOK. I erased the user with SQL and added it with the
GUI and it worked. Don't know what the diff was.

2) Yes I mean [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have tried going to
http://mail.virtualdomain.com:8383/ and just using root and it's password
and still no go.

3)http://mail.rootdomain.com:8383/login.cgi using [EMAIL PROTECTED] to
login.

4)Well....

5)I didn't expect IPSWITCH to solve the problem. lol. I expected the patch
to 7.12 to solve it. I would never call IPSWITCH for actual support. I would
call Scott or you if I had the numbers. I was reading an interesting post by
you yesterday on the IMAIL registry vs SQL when I was searching the Imail
forum archive for MDAC info actually. :)

Well thanks that solved my problem. I actually didn't think of deleting and
recreating because when I compared the root record with an admin record,
they were identical except for userid and password. I don't know why it
didn't work.

Craig.

I wouldn't say that, by definition. Does root have a user folder? Have
you deleted and recreated the user (you can do so from SQL, and the
GUI will 'protect' the new user).

You mean '[EMAIL PROTECTED],' right? I presume you do, but just
checking.

What is the failing URL?

You do?

Wow, your optimism is not the norm. :)
