thanks Dan,

I just ran this and it said I had no updates to make (makes sense to me as my def
files are current.) How do i get the new version of the program with the updater?
Does the updater allow me to get the new version or is there another way I have to get
current version?

sorry for the questions but I was going along dumb until this and now am a bit
confused.

Scott, can I still just use f-prot.exe for scanning or do I have to use fpcmd.exe?

thanks, bob
