One thing I noticed when we were moving our servers. I made a mistake in the file path for the virus scanners (2 of them) and did not realize it until I received a virus.
The interesting thing that I noticed was the attachment (.scr) was with the virus. The virus.cfg had it listed as a banned extension.

To me it seems like from a programming perspective and a fail safe measure when the virus scanners return error (as wrong setup) the attachment ban should do it is supposed to do - simply as a fail safe measure.
This will be changes in the next release.
