Hopefully not to dumb of a question. In the virus config there is the line FORGINGVIRUS "virus name" which can be added and also SKIPIFVIRUSNAMEHAS on the *.eml files. Do they do the same thing?
No. SKIPIFVIRUSNAMEHAS tells Declude Virus not to send out a specific .eml file for certain viruses. The virus.cfg file FORGINGVIRUS option is used to tell Declude Virus to use "[forged]" as the return address of E-mails that contain certain viruses.
an it be just added to the virus config file to skip the mail being sent out and removed from the *.eml file?
No -- otherwise, Declude Virus won't know which .eml files you want skipped.
Note that v1.76 will automatically detect forging viruses (via DNS lookups), and will currently override any SKIPIFVIRUSNAMEHAS lines in the sender.eml and otherpostmaster.eml files (and any other that have "SKIPIFFORGING" in them). We may later expand that to replace the FORGINGVIRUS option as well.
