Question: How does the NOLEGITCONTENT-test work? How is "legit content"
defined? I'm realizing that most of the e-mails I receive fail this test
(esp. those with german content). That is no real tragedy, but I would like
to know what is tested there. Thanks!

The NOLEGITCONTENT test looks for a number of things that are common to legitimate E-mail but rarely found in spam. For example, until a year or two ago, about 99% of all E-mail with "Re:" in the subject was legitimate mail. Today, that wouldn't work well in the NOLEGITCONTENT test, but in the past it might have been used.

Given the way that the test works, it helps legitimate E-mail get through rather than penalizing spam. If a legitimate E-mail fails the test, it doesn't mean that there is something wrong with the E-mail.
