Several of my users are having issues with Outlook calendar meeting requests...where the request is coming through as ASCII garbage...

I've read elsewhere that this could be caused by an inserted footer, and while I hate to change settings because of an outlook issue, I'm going to remove the footer that declude virus inserts. Is it as simple as just deleting the FOOTER lines in virus.cfg?

Yes, that is all you have to do. Unfortunately, Outlook has a flaw where it will not handle the meeting requests properly when footers are added.
