I use the
#
# BANZIPEXTS = Apply Banned Extensions to contents of Zip files too
#
BANZIPEXTS ON
#
# EZip is password protected / encrypted zip files
#
BANEXT EZIP

The BANZIPEXTS may be available only in the virus pro version?
This will block any zip files that have extensions that you ban. If you don't need exe
and such coming in, this is a good switch to help stop viruses from coming in in .zip
files in that windows between a virus release and the update to the definitions that
can catch it.

For a while there there were new zip file viruses being released. Have they slowed
down? I still ban zips just for protection between virus def updates.

Are you saying that there are few zip viruses and mostly ezips? If there are few
regular zips then I'd think about removing the ban...

just looking for insight.
