I have had zero update problems on 9 systems since I started using a batch
file with shareware wget and unzip utilities to do the F-Prot updates. Wget
checks hourly and only downloads if a file is newer.

I have the files if anyone wants them. I would send to the list but in light
of the current zip file issue I will refrain.

Subject: RE: [Declude.Virus] F-Prot errors starting at 4:00 AM today

Thanks for the responses.

Using the responses and further investigation, here is what I found: (Access
remote via TS.)

1. Many DrWatson processes started. 4 could not be stopped.
2. 4 Q files apparently locked in process during Declude Virus scan at 4:06
AM. The associated files and .vir directors were locked.
3. F-Prot errors and 183 errors in Virus log starting at 4:05 AM.
4. Scheduled F-Prot update starts at 4:02 AM.
5. About 700 other Q files with associated .vir directories in an unlocked
state.

Resolution:
Had to stop all Imail services.
Moved all files out of spool except the 4 locked D files, and all .vir
folders except the 4 locked ones to a temp folder.
Restarted the server.
Moved those 4 files and folders out of the spool and into the temp folder.

The overflow folder began to clear and all is well now.

Now, for those messages that got stuck. There are about 700 .vir folders and
associated D files in the temp folder. There are no associated Q files. Some
of these are legit, most are not. Some of the .vir folders contain a
report.txt file, some are empty. Is there any thing I can do with these, or
even requeue the legit ones?
