Hi,
And while I am at it does anyone have and batch code that will figure out yesterdays date? I would love to run my report after midnight and get yesterday's log file.
I start my midnight run at 23:59, get the date, wait one minute and then continue. (Like a lot of other do as well.)
Unlike some I use the UnixUtilities to do all the "wierd" stuff you can not do with a standard Windows setup. If you are afraid of Unix stuff do what I did at first. Just extract the ZIP file to a directory that is Not in your PATH and use those few tools you deem usefull. So in stead of using just "sleep 1m" to wait one minute you would use "\UnxUtils\usr\local\wbin\sleep 1m".
Or, as the UnxUtils use the same standard directory as a normal Unix intstallation (\usr\local\*) to store file, just unpack it to create \UnxUtils\usr\local\wbin) and copy the programs you want to use into the \UnxUtils direcory. Add that directory to your PATH and you will have "safely" added some usefull tools. The next time someone tells you "Use Unix, it can do all that amazing stuff" you just tell them "I can do that with the Unix Utils too". ;-)
p.s. get the unix tool from sourceforge. http://unxutils.sourceforge.net/ (Get the Utilities and the Updates)
