I have found that when the server is processing a high volume a much greater amount of .vir directories get left behind than if the server would take more time to process the mail
Because I just had the decludeproc.exe stopped I got a backlog of 500 e-mails.  When I started it again in processed these in about one minute and left 50 .vir directories behind
During regular processing when there is no backlog this amount of mail would have come in over 5 - 10 minutes and would have left maybe only one .vir directories.
I am hoping that this gives some clues to somebody as to how this problem might be resolved.
thank you
