Package: apt Version: 0.1.9 Severity: Wishlist It would be nice if apt offered a command line option to download a deb file only when it is going to be installed (as opposed to downloading them all first before installation begins), and then removing it after a successful extraction.
When doing a major dist upgrade, we don't always have enough space to download an entire upgrade of .deb files. But if we could download files (+ dependencies) as they are being installed, and then remove them after they've been extracted, that would be a big plus for space-limited machines.
