If memory serves that older version of APT would ignore certain types of unresolvable errors, this is certainly fixed in 0.3.0 and quite probably in 0.1.10. The problem is slink has a strange libc6 version that twirks the compare code. Manually install 0.1.10 from potato for best results. Jason
