I was upgrading the tetex packages yesterday, and of course halfway through tetex-extra pppd decided to die. After restoring the connection Apt failed to continue downloading the package though: it just displayed the name of the package and then stopped doing anything. The connection was fine and the proxy also still worked, so I think it is a problem in apt. Could it be Apt has problems continueing the download of large files?
