It is actually a file:/ (single /!) URL but.. Try using a 'copy' URL it just might work. Exactly the same syntax as a file URL but use copy as the access specifier. 'copy' urls are used internally for some things I have never tested them in an external context. Let me know that results :> BTW there is recent APT 0.3.0 .debs at http://www.debian.org/~jgg Jason
