since my provider has IP problems, i could anymore connect directly to
the debian mirror(s).
therefore, i use the http_proxy=http://my.proxy:8081/ environment
variable.
apt-get gets the package-descriptions. the proxy learns them. but it
seems, that in the next runs of apt-get squid offers always the old
files.
i need an option for using a proxy and to tell to the proxy not to use
it's cache for the update of the package-descriptions. on the other
hand, a cache *is* useful for the debian _packages_, and since updates
of the packages have different filenames, a cachet http-get will work in
that case.
furthermore, due to my problems, my apt-update restricts on mirrors that
have http access.
i'd like to use (squid-)proxied ftp, but apt's ftp does not handle it.
thus, i'm notable to use my nearest mirror :(
