Hi,
I often use dselect to do my selections then do a "apt-get -d
dselect-upgrade" to download the files, copy the files somewhere else for
later transferring to my own little "sub-archive", then use dselect to do
the actual install.

This used to result in the files in the /var/cacahe/archives dir
being deleted but not any more

        Thanks
        Greg
