If you have a /etc/apt.conf then delete it and try again. If you copied the sample apt.conf verbatim, go re-read the warning at the top of the file :> Otherwise, run strace -o /tmp/apt -ff apt-get -y dselect-upgrade And send me all the files it spits out.. Thanks, Jason
