Well, one part of this problem was recently fixed in CVS, instead of dpkg-source giving an error apt-get will give an MD5 error. As for why/how the file got corrupted <shrug> no explanation and if you can't reproduce it then there isn't any way to know if it is even an APT bug. Jason
