Package: apt
Version: 0.3.13
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

I accidental removed the subdir 'partial' from /var/cache/apt/archives/.
This caused apt-get to fail for subsequent downloads.

Though this was obviously my fault, I think that checking if all the
directories
to be accessed would make apt more robust (especially inside archive or lists
 directories).

 Thanks,

  Ulf
