Package: apt Version: 0.3.17 Severity: normal I have two mirrors set up in /etc/apt/sources.list, because the nearest one (the first mirror in the list) keeps going down.
apt-get install will correctly try to fetch the files from the next mirror in sources. apt-get update also deals quite well with this. However, apt-get source only uses the first mirror, and if said mirror is down, it refuses to download the packages. -- System Information Debian Release: 2.2 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux godzillah.rivendell.sol 2.2.14 #1 Thu Feb 10 22:30:22 BRST 2000 i586 Versions of packages apt depends on: ii libc6 2.1.3-2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libstdc++2.10 1:2.95.2-5 The GNU stdc++ library -- "One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them.
