Package: gnome-apt Version: 0.3.6 I am sorry about my last bug report concerning this package, it was much less aiccurate than the one I am sending you now, and didn't include any headers.
gnome-apt has an unfixed dependancy problem with libapt-pkg2.6. The problem is that the current version of libapt-pkg is now 2.7. So, the temporary solution I thought (and worked with me) was to: cd /usr/lib ln -s libapt-pkg.so libapt-pkg.so.2.6 Obviously, that's a post-install fix, I recommend that the dependancy problem get fixed in both packages: instead of a libapt-pkg2.7 package, lets have a package named libapt-pkg that's at version 2.7, and make gnome-apt dependant of libapt-pkg >> 2.6. That will kill the bug. Also, there is a bug in gnome-apt itself: the bug report option (in "Advanced/Bug Report..."). Won't work, and gnome-apt displays: Gnome Apt Frontend-WARNING **: bug_cb Everytime this option is selected from the menu. Thanks, Carlos Laviola - [EMAIL PROTECTED]
