Package: apt
Version: 0.3.19

Hi maintainer,

I sent the same mail a few days ago but it seems not filed
in BTS so I send this again. If this is duplicated, please
forgive me.

Well, I already discussed this issue in debina-devel mailing
list so you might know this but,

recently there are increasingly many cases where
someone says

please test these packages in
http://www.some.where/~someone/foo.deb

We can handle this by modifying /etc/apt/sources.list
of course. But there is an absolute distinction between
official Debian site and sites where some test packages
or so reside so I think it is much easier if sources.list
can include some files by 'include' diective.

For example;

# See sources.list(5) for more information, especial
# Remember that you can only use http, ftp or file URIs
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free
deb http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US stable non-US
include unofficial.list
include private.list

then it will read the settings of unofficial.list and
private.list so it is enough to modify unofficial.list
and/or private.list generally.

This will make sources.list very clear and simple.

Best Regards, 2000.6.28

Hi maintainer,

I am sorry that I sent duplicated mail. #66384 is same
as #66325 and this is because at the time I sent #66325
BTS did not work well and it seemed my mail did not appear
in BTS so I sent again #66384.

And I think this is obviously wishlist so I close this
one of normal severity.

Very sorry for my mistake and thanks for your excellent tool.

Regards, 2000.7.14
