Package: apt Version: 0.3.19 Severity: wishlist Greetings! :)
I am behind a very poor http proxy. Often, the downloads don't finish. With the Package Lists, this is very annoying. The packages themselves are handled quite nicely, thanks for that. :) However, I would like to tell apt, in some fashion, "Please download the non-us package lists again" when it fails. Another possible approach would add a flag to apt, --bloody-insistent or something, that causes apt to try to download the package files/packages whatever until it gets them fully. It would save those of us stuck behind poor proxies a lot of hassle. :) Thanks! :) -- System Information Debian Release: 2.2 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux sarnold 2.2.15 #1 Tue Apr 25 17:13:48 EST 2000 i686 Versions of packages apt depends on: ii libc6 2.1.3-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libstdc++2.10 1:2.95.2-13 The GNU stdc++ library
