I *think* this is an apt problem, but it might be a dpkg one. Synptoms were: an apt-get install of leafnode_1.9.17-1 fails with a reported error from dpkg about a failed post-install script. Installing the deb by hand with dpkg -i from the package in the apt cache directory worked fine.
