Package: apt Version: 0.4.10 Severity: normal I've been following this beta apt for a few months, nice new features, but never seen this problem before. I did not get 0.4.9, for some reason it never seemed to show up even though apt-utils et al did.
dselect uses apt as method. #dselect update . . . Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done Merging Available information dpkg: unable to access dpkg status area for bulk available update: No such file or directory update available list script returned error exit status 2. Press <enter> to continue. This is new with 0.4.10. Dselect and dpkg have not changed in the interim. I ran dselect --debug dselect.dbg update to try to capture some debug info. Not sure if it will help, but in case it is attached.
