Package: apt Version: 0.5.3 Severity: normal Hi,
I've just migrated from apt 0.3.9 (or whatever was in testing) to 0.5.3, and I normally download through a http proxy (ie. my ftp_proxy variable is set to http://proxy.domain.com:8080/). apt-get now fails with a connection timeout. If I run "ftp_proxy= apt-get install xxxx" it works fine, however. If you want an strace or anything just let me know ...
