I just did "apt-get build-dep python-imaging" to get all the build dependencies in order for one of my packages. Apt showed the following message: Package libjpegg-dev is a virtual package provided by: libjpeg62-dev 6b-1.3 You should explicitly select one to install. In the case that only one package provides a virtual package, it could be possible to select this package automatically.
