Package: gnome-apt Version: 0.3.10 Severity: wishlist The search utility in gnome-apt just pops up a window with the matches (as I'm sure you know). This doesn't make sense to me - it'd be much better if it acted as a filter. For instance, the reason I personally wanted this functionality is so I could, say, do a search for .*-dev packages and filter out all "Not Installed" packages, so I have a list of installed -dev packages. Then I remove all that I don't need any more. I usually do this manually with apt-cache search and apt-get, but it'd be *much* *much* nicer to do it in gnome-apt.
