Package: apt Version: 0.5.3 Severity: normal Tags: woody sid I have just been introduced to the wonders of the /etc/apt/preferences file which is a cool feature that is documented in the apt_preferences manpage. However there is no hint in the other apt manpages (apt-get, apt-cache, apt, apt.conf) or in the users guide that the manpage exists. It would be very nice to have apt_preferences referenced in the SEE ALSO sections of these manpages, so that a random user like me can read that manpage without being told of its existence by somebody else. Keep up the good work
Diego Biurrun P.S.: I am willing to contribute a patch. I suppose this is trivial, but I have no idea what tools I need to edit the sgml sources. -- System Information Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux silver 2.4.6 #1 Tue Jul 10 00:40:25 CEST 2001 i586 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US Versions of packages apt depends on: ii libc6 2.2.3-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2 1:2.95.4-0.010424 The GNU stdc++ library
