Subject: Asks to delete downloaded .deb files even if contains only file:

Package: apt
Version: 0.5.3
Severity: normal
My apt/sources.list file contains only mirrors available over NFS (or
sometimes on the local disk itself), such as:
deb file:/home/debian sid main contrib non-free
deb file:/home/debian-non-US sid non-US/main non-US/contrib non-US/non-free
Apt therefore installs packages directly, and doesn't download anything.
So why does it ask the question:
Do you want to erase any previously downloaded .deb files? [Y/n]
It used not to do this, but I don't remember when it started. It's an
unnecessary (and irritating!) question if one isn't using ftp or http to
access the packages.
I'm using all default settings; the only configuration file I've altered
is /etc/apt/sources.list
Tim.
