if there is a 'Packages' file apt-get complains it cannot fetch 'Packages', while actually looking for Packages.gz Yes, it's in the manual, though I suggest error msg be exact, or that apt-get is made to get the uncompressed file if the .gz one isn't there. ciao -- Paolo [EMAIL PROTECTED]
