When I do an "apt-get update", I have to download this 1.5MB file if something has changed. This takes a fair while as I'm on a modem.
Would it be possible to split this file up into multiple files, or store them in an uncompressed format and use rsync instead? That should reduce the 1.5MB to a couple of K. Thanks.
