fter [I]nstalling packages, dselect asks "Do you want to erase any
previously downloaded .deb files? [Y/n]". I request that there be an
option to not have this screen, or to associate this option with the
"expert" option, so that if the "expert" option is selected, this
question is not asked. At the very least, the default could be set to
"N" ([y/N]).

Read the apt.conf man page, there is an option.
