Package: apt Version: 0.3.19 Severity: normal I've got set of 4 CDs and using some HTTP sites for updates. When I try to install package from more then 1 CD the following happens:
$ apt-get install gemdropx Reading Package Lists... Building Dependency Tree... The following extra packages will be installed: libggi2 libgii0 libsdl1.0 The following NEW packages will be installed: gemdropx libggi2 libgii0 libsdl1.0 0 packages upgraded, 4 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Need to get 0B/1160kB of archives. After unpacking 2519kB will be used. Do you want to continue? [Y/n] y Media Change: Please insert the disc labeled 'Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 _Potato_ - Unofficial PuK i386 Binary-4 (20000816)' in the drive '/mnt/cdrom/' and press enter Err cdrom://[Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 _Potato_ - Unofficial PuK i386 Binary-1 (20000816)] unstable/main libggi2 1:1.99.2.0b2.1-2 Wrong CD Err http://www.debian.cz stable/main libggi2 1:1.99.2.0b2.1-2 Could not resolve 'www.debian.cz' Err http://ftp.linux.cz stable/main libggi2 1:1.99.2.0b2.1-2 Could not resolve 'ftp.linux.cz' Err http://ftp.linux.cz stable/main libgii0 1:0.6-1.1 Could not resolve 'ftp.linux.cz' Err http://ftp.linux.cz stable/main libsdl1.0 1.0.1-4 Could not resolve 'ftp.linux.cz' apt-get doesn't need to download any package so why it tries to? Unavailability of those sites is OK because I was not connected to the internet (using minute-paid dial-up). When the connection is needed I'll connect, but it wasn't needed in this case. IMHO the first error message is strange. I've got that CD but it doesn't ask for. Using CD set only works well (no sites at sources.list).
