Followup-For: Bug #127360 Package: apt Version: 0.5.4 This problem report is really close to a question I was asked recently: when a source package is available through several deb-src sources, which one is considered by "apt-get build-dep" ?
As the available source-selection mechanisms are already used to find the apt source to download the debs to install, it looks like we also need a command-line option to specify which version of a source package we refer to. It does not have to be as sophisticated as the pinning mechanism, obviously, so I guess it would be sufficient to be able to specify either a package version, or an apt repository using informations from the Release file. -- System Information Debian Release: 3.0 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux vitel 2.4.19-station #1 Tue Aug 6 11:36:58 CEST 2002 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages apt depends on: ii libc6 2.2.5-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2 1:2.95.4-7 The GNU stdc++ library -- Yann Dirson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.alcove.com/ Technical support manager Responsable de l'assistance technique Senior Free-Software Consultant Consultant senior en Logiciels Libres Debian developer ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Développeur Debian
