Package: apt Version: 0.5.5 Severity: minor Tags: sid patch I have submitted a patch to the apt_preferences(5) man page appended to the following message among others http://lists.debian.org/deity/2003/deity-200305/msg00009.html which corrects misinformation that I introduced to the page when I and others overhauled it for release 0.5.5. The most important problem is that the page states systematically that apt assigns priorities to package instances, whereas in fact it only assigns priorities to package versions.
Please apply the patch. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.0 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux thanatos 2.4.21-pre5 #4 Mon Mar 10 16:35:08 CET 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB Versions of packages apt depends on: ii libc6 2.3.1-16 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:3.3-0pre9 GCC support library ii libstdc++5 1:3.3-0pre9 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 -- no debconf information
