Sorry for that, I missed mentioning that I'm using the prerelease fvwm 2.5 packages from http://people.debian.org/~sacha/debian (actual version is 2.5.6-1) which have a direct build-dependency against libpng-dev: Build-Depends: [...] libpng-dev, [...] (http://people.debian.org/~sacha/debian/dists/unstable/main/source/fvwm_2.5.6-1.dsc) I don't think that this is important for this bug, but it's important for you to reproduce it, so please accept my apologies. - Alexander
