This would also be helpful if some deb lines contain a password granting access to evil commercial, non-distributable software. Currently, it is necessary to have sources.list non-world-readable which is a nuisance. With an include directive, one could move the sensitive information to a different file which then can the appropriate restrictive access modes. apt would need to optionally ignore read errors on included files though.
