Package: apt
Version: 0.5.27
Severity: normal
When I do an "apt-get update", apt's available list is updated fine.
"apt-get install <blah>" and "apt-get dist-upgrade/dselect-upgrade" all work
fine.
However, when I launch dselect, I only get a tiny list of packages,
essentially any package that has ever been installed on the system, but no
packages from the "available" list.
This just started happening when I installed debian/unstable using the
latest businesscard CD image. On my other systems which have been running
debian for between 120 days and 5 years, the available list is still there.

You need to run "dselect update" or use the [U]pdate option within dselect.
