Hi Matt, Indeed Jason responded quickly, but after that all went quiet. Let's forget it, it's seems a thing from the past now :) > > > > Can you provide me the latest man page sources. ?I'll have a look at > > > > the merge as well. ?I don't have the 'script' (1 big ?sed command) > > > > around now, I'll provide you that one later. > > > > Please, find the convert script in the attachment. > > Thank you. That's a good idea indeed. > What is the proper tool to use to convert the XML documents into nroff man > pages? It is xmlto. http://packages.debian.org/unstable/text/xmlto.html You need a current version (1.64.1) of docbook-xsl to have the manpages formatted correctly; http://docbook.sourceforge.net/projects/xsl/index.html http://packages.debian.org/unstable/text/docbook-xsl That seems okay, they are all present in the apt repository :) > > > cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs/deity co apt > > > (password is blank) > > > > Tried it, I get: > > richard:~/cvs> cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs/deity co apt > > Fatal error, aborting. > > cvs_deity: no such user > > It seems that some pserver services are not completely restored yet. Any web frontend around to > > cvs? > > http://cvs.debian.org/ module 'deity'. Okay found them. I'll download them for there. However, before I continue with merging/processing or whatever, I'm curious to know whether you can distribute (apt/deity) with the converted docs (to xml docbook-4) in combination with xmlto (or whatever xml processor you would like to use of course). -- Richard
