Subject: libapt-pkg-dev: Access to Task fields (eg, from debrecords) would be
very useful.

Package: libapt-pkg-dev
Version: 0.5.4
Severity: wishlist
As you probably know, tasks are now represented by Task: headers in
Packages. This information is obviously useful for package management
frontends; however, I can't see any obvious way to extract it without
parsing the Packages file myself. Would it be possible to add this
functionality? (either by adding specific support for Task:, or by
adding a generic "look up this package control tag for me" routine)
Thanks,
Daniel
