Package: apt Version: 0.5.24 Severity: wishlist Hi !
I think the package-management of debian is the best i ever used - thanks for writing and maintaining such a nice piece of software :-) I have a feature-request concerning the selection of sources for apt-actions. I use currently a large number of non-offical apt-resources, but this is not very nice on a productive system - because this provides way to exploit and damage my systems. i.e: - if I include a apt-repository which provides me a certain software, the maintainer of this source is able to put his own release of a library, this can damage or exploit my system - limiting upgrades to certain sources make updates with non-offical apt-sources more calculatable Would would be a nice extenstion ? - A possibility to view relations between sources and packages for actions like upgrade, dist-upgrade, install,... - A possibility to group sources on a certain name - and to define them as default release like the parameter in /etc/apt/apt.conf does.
