If i, in the preferences file included below, I replace "unstable" with "sid" and "testing" with "sarge", apt refuses to obey them. That's not optimal for people who basically want to track sarge. Worse, in the set-up below, apt now silently prefers experimental, which is why I tagged this bug "normal" instead of "minor". - -- Package-specific info: - -- /etc/apt/preferences -- Package: * Pin: release o=smurf Pin-Priority: 951 Package: * Pin: release a=testing Pin-Priority: 650 Package: * Pin: release a=unstable Pin-Priority: 601 Package: * Pin: release a=experimental Pin-Priority: 542 Package: * Pin: release a=stable Pin-Priority: 503 - -- (/etc/apt/sources.list present, but not submitted) -- - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (650, 'testing'), (601, 'unstable'), (542, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.7-rc2-mm2-1.12 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 Versions of packages apt depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:3.4.0-2 GCC support library ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.4-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFA0GWk8+hUANcKr/kRApd+AJ0e5wcTXWKnVSXYhI/RfDqdc3j4hwCeIhAC hZ6Mqz5VaOrAgSmkCzdgOhA= =Sj6p -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
