I am looking for some help to decide a GUI automation tool which can be
operated Remotely for doing the tests below –
1. System under test will follow Client-Server architecture..
2. Test cases that would involve validation using database after
performing certain operations using GUI & for this purpose common db driver
interface would be required during automation. DB being used is Oracle.
3. The application has a small web interface used to launch the main
Java GUI & supports IE 7,8,9.
Note : The server is the acceSS7 system, so the actual server process runs
on the a7WST box which also needs to talk to the a7SVR box and a number of
a7STE’s.
The a7STE’s (both main Site boxes and auxiliary Remote Site Processor boxes)
that contain the Oracle/Infobrite databases. So there will have to be
communications within the test runs that allow for this.
